ADMIT Advice | Achievement

What can be achieved in asthmatic/COPD patients with adequate treatment of asthma/COPD?

  • Asthma/COPD, without using a rescue inhaler, should not prevent the patient from what he/she wants to do.
  • The patient should not stay away from school/work because of asthma/COPD.
  • The patient should try to prevent exacerbations; if he/she prevents exacerbations this may reduce the risk of asthma/COPD-related life-threatening situations.
  • The patient should have the ability to do normal activities, which means being able what he/she wishes to do.
  • All this should be able without using a rescue inhaler often.
