GINA and ADMIT have recently stressed the importance of device choice and correct technique (or use). This recommendation is of great importance for all clinicians concerned with the management of asthma. Check of inhaler technique is essential in all patients not achieving expected benefit from therapy before increasing the dose, adding other treatments or changing inhalation device.
